The Intel Pouch Chesty is a chest phone pouch for plate carriers, designed to allow controlled and safe use of the device during operations.
When the device is inserted and the pouch is fully closed, it is in a signal-free environment and cannot connect to any network. When you need to quickly check a map or order, the pouch can be opened with one hand, the phone briefly regains connectivity, and when closed again, it returns to full RF isolation.
The inner liner is made of multi-layer conductive fabric that creates a continuous Faraday cage. To ensure complete shielding, the pouch must be properly closed, blocking cellular networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, NFC, RFID and UWB. Inside, there is a magnetic holder with a non-slip pad that fixes the device, prevents its movement during dynamic deployment and allows for quick removal even with gloves.
The Intel Pouch Chesty attaches directly to the MOLLE system on the front panel of the plate carrier and holds it firmly against the chest without unwanted movement. The controls are designed for use with the support hand without having to change the grip of the weapon. The entire design is quiet and low-profile to avoid unwanted noise or collision with equipment.
In practice, the workflow is simple: open, check, close. The phone only connects to the network when the case is open, otherwise it remains fully isolated from all signals.
