SupSleeve is a multispectral silencer sleeve designed to reduce the thermal and IR signature of a silencer after firing. It is made of InfraHex StealthTextile combined with a carbon FR substrate that increases resistance to short-term thermal shock and slows down the burn-through of the material. Its main purpose is to mask a heated silencer - one of the most easily detectable elements of a weapon system in thermal imaging.
After short bursts of fire, the silencer reaches high temperatures and creates a distinctive high-contrast thermal signature. SupSleeve reduces this contrast and distorts the shape of the silencer, helping it to blend in better with its surroundings. Three adjustable straps allow for adjustment to most modern silencers and the excess length can be shortened as needed.
SupSleeve can be used alone at low to medium rates of fire or as an outer multispectral layer over the primary thermal silencer sleeve. This combination provides the best overall effect - thermal protection is provided by the inner layer and increased IR signature suppression is provided by the SupSleeve. The sleeve is lightweight, quick to install and does not restrict weapon handling or movement after firing.
